Outcomes and activities

NET-WORK YOU is expected to generate meaningful and lasting outcomes for individuals, institutions, and regional economies.

 Specific Objectives (SOs) of the Action: 

  • SO1: Develop a pilot structure for circular migration between Italy and Egypt, leading to the creation of a Mediterranean multi-stakeholder network. 
  • SO2: Successfully initiate circular mobility pilot for skills enhancement between Egypt and Italy in the green and digital job sectors. 
  • SO3: Facilitate the return home of trained young Egyptians. 

Activities 

The specific objectives of the action will be pursued through four clusters of activities: 

Set up of the pilot model of circular migration: Involvement of Italian and Egyptian authorities 

  • Assessment of labor market demand and supply in Italy and Egypt. 
  • Establishment of a skills recognition system. 
  • Creation of a multi-stakeholder network with the organization of exchange visits between Egyptian and Italian private companies and a “virtual job matching platform” that facilitates the connection between Egyptian job seekers (demand) and companies or organizations offering positions (supply) in Italy. 
  • Exchange of best practices (high level meetings) at national and European level. 

On-site training in Egypt: Involvement of universities and private companies 

  • Identification and recruitment of candidates. 
  • Skills assesment. 
  • Pre-departure training (cultural, linguistic, and administrative orientation on the Italian context, technical training). 
  • Selection for the participants to the internship in Italy ( 60 technicians and 40 fresh graduated) 

Mobility phase in Italy with training/internships: Support for mobility and visa procedures. 

  • Engagement of Italian universities, cooperatives, private companies. 
  • Organization of the internships at Italian companies with mentoring and tutoring activities. 

Reintegration, awareness-raising, and institutional capacity-building: Creation of a network of specialized incubators to facilitate the reintegration of migrants into the local labor market. 

  • Institutional capacity-building and awareness-raising of Egyptian in line institutions. 
  • Job placement service 
  • Support for the establishment of n. 10 start- ups
